Morning: Meet our guide upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport and get transferred to the hotel for check-in. After a short rest, we will begin our Hanoi city tour. Hanoi is Vietnam’s capital, the only Asian city with tree-lined avenues, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes, and Oriental temples. The visit starts with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (exterior visit from Ba Dinh Square), One Pillar Pagoda – built in 1049 by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, resembling a lotus flower in honor of Buddha, then, move to the Temple of Literature – the first university in the country, founded in 1070, considered a symbol of Hanoi.
Afternoon: Walk around Hoan Kiem Lake with its The Huc Bridge, Ly Thai To square, Hanoi Opera House. Finally, we will go through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the 36 Streets district, historically famous for its artisans and workshops. Nowadays, this bustling area of narrow streets and alleys serves as home to thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Return to the hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
Morning: Get transferred from your hotel to Ninh Binh (approximately 90 km south of Hanoi), a northern province famous for its natural sightseeing. After a short break upon arrival visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Southeast Asia containing some world records such as 500 stone arhat statues, 36 ton bronze bell, 100 ton Buddha statue.
Afternoon: Buffet lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit Trang An complex, recognized in 2014 by UNESCO as the World Heritage Site. Its wonderful tunnel cave system has also been chosen as the filming location for the “Kong: Skull Island” movie. Enjoy a boat ride and admire the beauty of Trang An landscape with many caves such as the Sang (Light) Cave, Toi (Dark) Cave, Nau Ruou (Cooking Wine) Cave.
Evening: Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel / local restaurant. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Morning: Get transferred from your hotel to Halong Bay (170 km east of Hanoi) listed as the World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty. Known in Vietnamese as the “Dragon descending to the sea”, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes.
Noon: Arrive at Halong city and board the cruise ship. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch on board while cruising the bay. Later visit Thien Cung & Dau Go caves, sail through the islands of Tuan Chau, Ga Choi, Dinh Huong, stop at Titop Island to swim and relax on the beach. Participate in on-board activities, have dinner and stay overnight on the cruise.
Early morning: Practice tai chi and enjoy light breakfast on board while cruising around the islands. Later stop on one of the islands or lagoons for swimming/kayaking.
Noon: Have brunch on board, check-out from the cabin and disembark at Halong pier.
Afternoon: Get transferred back to Hanoi / Noi Bai International Airport for departure.
